CONGRATULATIONS: Congratulations  to the following individuals who were received into the Church at the Easter Vigil: Kenna Marek, Michael Holcomb, and Robert Moore. 

FIRST HOLY COMMUNION: Our parish will celebrate the First Holy Communion of the Second Grade CCD class on Sunday, April 30th.  KJZT will be hosting the First Communion breakfast in the Parish hall immediately after Mass.  Everyone is invited to join us for breakfast and help celebrate this special event with our first communicants and their families.

LET’S PARTY: Father Joe’s birthday is Wednesday, May 10th. The parish will help him celebrate the big day by hosting a party immediately after Mass on Saturday, May 13th. Please sign the sheet on the back bulletin board by May 7th so enough food can be prepared.

RCIA: RCIA Class will meet on Sunday, April 23rd from 7:00 – 8:30 p.m. in the Parish Hall.

BREAKFAST/ EGG HUNT: The KJZT is sponsoring a donut breakfast and Easter egg hunt this Sunday beginning at 9 am.

KJZT JUNIORS: The next meeting of the KJZT Juniors will be Sunday, April 23, immediately after the spring egg hunt and donut breakfast. Juniors need to wear their turquoise t-shirts.

ADULT FORMATION: The final Adult Formation class was postponed until Wednesday, April 26th. The class will meet from 6:30 – 7:30 p.m. in the Parish Hall.  All are welcome.

MOTHER’S DAY FLOWERS: Donations are being accepted for Mother’s Day flowers.  To honor or remember a special lady in your life, put your intention/ donation in one of the envelopes located at the entrances of the church and drop in the collection basket by April 30th.

BAR-B-Q DINNER/RAFFLE: Our BBQ Brisquet & Sausage Dinner with raffle will be held on Sunday, May 7th.  The meal  includes brisquet, sausage, parsley potatoes, cole slaw, pinto beans, dessert, and tea.  Parishioners whose last name begins with N-Z are asked to please furnish a dessert for the meal.  Adult plates and Plates to go are $9.00 and children plates under 12 are $6.00. Raffle tickets are available at the entrances of the church, please take several books. Prices are $1.00 each or 6 for $5.00.

PASTORAL COUNCIL NOMINATIONS: This is the last weekend to make nominations to the Pastoral Council. Please place the names in the collection basket. Members of the Finance Council are unable to serve on both councils, therefore do not nominate Charles Beseda, Annette Ballew, or Lucy Pustejovsky. There are three members who have finished their terms on the Pastoral Council that are not eligible to serve for one year. They include Karen Marak, Gary Pustejovsky, and Louise Sullins.  Finally, please do not nominate any current members of the Pastoral Council members:  Molly Gerik, Andy Pustejovsky, Ben Pustejovsky, Ernie Pustejovsky, Kathy Pustejovsky, and Patrick Timmons.

SPRING FESTIVAL: St. Mary’s Church of the Assumption in Waco will be having their Spring Festival at Geneva Hall on Sunday, April 30th starting at 10:30 a.m.  And for car enthusiasts, there will be a Rod and Custom Show. Please see the flyers on the back bulletin for more info.

DIOCESAN TRAVEL PROGRAM: Our own Father Joe will be the chaplain for the upcoming pilgrimage to France. It will take place October 18-30, 2017. So, plan ahead. 13 Days through France’s Wine Region to Lourdes including: Paris, Lourdes, Normandy Beaches, Giverny, Abbey at Mont St. Michel, Caen, Bordeaux, Toulouse, Biarritz, Medieval Walled-in City of Carcessonne. FAMILY DAY: District V Annual KJT Family Day will be held on Sunday, April 30, 2017 at the Dulak-Snapka Farm located at Tokio, Texas.  Registration begins at 11:00 a.m.  Festivities/Fishing will be from 12:00 – 3:00 p.m.  Food will be provided.  Bring your fishing equipment and lawn chairs.  District V Meeting will be held @ 3:15 p.m.

GRIEF SUPPORT: A grief support group meeting will be held 7:00 p.m. Thursday evening, April 27th at St. Joseph’s Hall next to St. Mary’s Catholic Church.  This is a support group for those in the community who want to gain a better understanding of all the changes experienced in the grief process.

PRAYER BOOKS: West CDA Prayer books are available to all parishioners and can be found on the back table.
