COIN COLLECTION: Our collection this past weekend contained several foreign coins, some of them being rather old. There was also a Chuck E Cheese token. It is suspected that a “young” parishioner probably made this contribution. If you are missing some old foreign coins from your coin collection, please contact Agnes Timmons at 254-580-8125.
BBQ DINNER/RAFFLE: Our BBQ dinner with raffle will be held on Sunday, May 18th. The rest of the meal includes potatoes, cole slaw, pinto beans, dessert, and tea. Parishioners whose last name begins with A-M are asked to please furnish a dessert for the meal. Adult plates and Plates to go are $8.00 and children plates under 12 are $6.00. Raffle tickets are available at the entrances of the church, please take several books. Prices are $1.00 each or 6 for $5.00.

RAFFLE: The KJZT Juniors will be selling raffle tickets after the weekend masses on April 26 & 27. If you miss out this weekend, you can contact a junior member anytime between now and camp (June) to purchase raffle tickets. The juniors appreciate your generous support!
MUSEUM FUNDRAISER: On Sunday, April 27th, the History of West Museum is having a Slovacek’s beef brisket and sausage dinner with all the trimmings, auction, and raffle at the West Knights of Columbus Hall. Serving starts at 11AM with drive through line available. Plates are $8.00. All are invited.
KJZT JRS: The next meeting of the KJZT juniors will be Wednesday, May 7 at 6:30 pm in the Smid Center. After a quick meeting, juniors will practice for their performance for the district meeting.
MOTHER’S DAY FLOWERS: Donations are now being accepted for Mother’s Day flowers. To honor or remember a special lady in your life, put your intentions, along with your donation in an envelope marked “Mother’s Day Flowers” and drop in the collection basket by May 5th.
COUNCIL MEETINGS: The Finance Council will meet on Monday, May 12, at 6:30 p.m. in the Parish Hall. The Pastoral Council will meet immediately after, at 7:30 p.m. in the Parish Hall.
RICE BOWL: During the past six weeks, our parish community has prayed, fasted and given alms with a special focus on the poorest members our global community. Please return your Rice Bowl by emptying the contents into an envelope. Please label the envelope as “Rice Bowl” and drop in the collection basket. Thank you for your generosity.
KJT FAMILY DAY: The Annual KJT District V Family Day will be hosted by the Dallas Society #111. The festivities will take place at Robert Slovaks Farm in Bardwell on Sunday, May 4, 2014 starting at 12:00 pm (Registration starts at 11:00 am).
