PRIEST CARE FUND SPECIAL COLLECTION: This weekend, we will take up a special collection for the Diocesan Priest Care Fund. Each year contributions from this collection are distributed to cover the costs of priests who are either in special or convalescent care and who have exhausted medical coverage and personal resources. These are our shepherds who have dedicated their lives to serving God’s people. Your generosity is greatly appreciated.
SPAGHETTI DINNER/RAFFLE: Our Annual Spaghetti Dinner and Raffle will be held on Sunday, August 17th. The meal, consisting of spaghetti and meat sauce, salad bar, garlic bread, dessert and drink is from 11:00 a.m. – ? Adult plates and plates to go are $8.00, and $6.00 for children under 12. Please invite your family and friends to come out and enjoy a delicious meal and fellowship. Parishioners whose last names begin with N – Z are asked to please bring a dessert to be served with the meal. Raffle tickets are available at the entrances of the church. Please take and sell to family and friends. Also, if anyone wishes to make a cash donation towards the meat or other ingredients, please put it in a specially marked envelope and place it in the collection basket.

KJZT BAKE SALE: The KJZT will hold a bake sale in conjunction with the Aug. 17th spaghetti dinner. This sale is held to fullfill the “People Helping People” requirement by the State Office. The proceeds will be given to the Abbott Community Improvement Organization (ACIO). The State Office will match 50% of the funds raised. Members are asked to please support this project. If you are willing to work a 30 minute shift at the dinner, please call 582-2043.
MINISTRY CONFERENCE: The University of Dallas Ministry Conference, “Walking Together in Faith”, will be held on October 23 – 25, 2014.This is an opportunity to receive exceptional faith formation from nationally and locally recognized speakers who will address relevant topics in faith, catechesis, education, theology, prayer and ministry. This three-day event cost only $57.00 (if registered before 9/25/14). More information is available in the pamphlets that are available on the back table.
