GIFT PRESENTATION: The Head Usher will ask someone to carry the gifts to the altar.

SPECIAL COLLECTION: “I read that roughly 95 percent of donations to the Retirement Fund for Religious aid senior religious,” a donor writes.  “That’s wonderful when we truly want our donations to work.” Your gift works for elderly religious by helping to furnish medications, nursing care, and more.  Please support next week’s collection for the retirement Fund for Religious, and give to those who have given a lifetime.

HOLY DAY OF OBLIGATION: Thursday, December 8th is the Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary.  It is a Holy Day of obligation.

  • Vigil Mass at Immaculate Heart, Wednesday, December 7th at 6:30 p.m.  (CCD students will attend Mass instead of their usual class.)
  • Mass at Immaculate Heart, Thursday, December 8th at 8:00 a.m.
  • Mass at Nativity BVM, Thursday at 7:00 p.m.

CCD CHRISTMAS PAGEANT: Our CCD students will present a Christmas Pageant for all parishioners in the church on Wednesday, December 14th beginning at 6:30 p.m.  Everyone is invited for refreshments in the hall afterwards.

COUNCIL MEETINGS: The Finance Council will meet on Mon., Dec. 5th, at 6:30 p.m. in the Parish Hall.  The Pastoral Council will meet at 7:30 p.m. in the Parish Hall.

SYMPATHY: Please remember in your prayers the soul and family of Michael Kiely who went to his eternal rest. Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him.  May his soul and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace.  Amen

COLLECTION ENVELOPES: There are a few boxes of the 2017 collection envelopes left on the back table.  If you did not find your name on a box of envelopes and wish to use them, please take a blank box and write your name on the envelope the first time you use them after the new year.

KJZT JUNIORS: The next meeting of the KJZT Juniors will be Sunday, December 11 at 10:30 a.m. in the hall.  Following the meeting, the juniors will perform at the parish Christmas party.

HILLSBORO INTERFAITH MINISTRIES: HIM is a county wide entity which provides food and clothing among other things to those less fortunate.  Monetary donations, food, and clothing can be delivered to the distribution center located 214-A East Elm Street in Hillsboro (across the street from the closed Wells Fargo). Also, the center can always use extra volunteers.  To get more information about contributing or how to become a volunteer, please contact George Harris at 254-580-2717.

RCIA: The RCIA Class will not meet on Sunday, December 4th.

ADULT FORMATION: Class will not meet this Wednesday due to the Holy Day Vigil Mass for the Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary at 6:30 p.m.

EUCHARISTIC ADORATION: Adoration will take place every Saturday beginning at 4:30 p.m. and ending with Benediction at 5:30.  Please sign the sheet at the entrance of the Church to ensure that someone is available to adore.

MINISTER SCHEDULES: This is the last weekend to make changes to your contact information for the new minister schedules coming out in December. If you haven’t already done so, please complete the form on the back table and place in the collection basket.

CHRISTMAS SOCIAL: The Annual KJT & KJZT Christmas Social and Meetings will be held on, Sunday, December 11th.  Meetings will begin at 10:30 a.m., followed with a program presented by the KJZT Juniors, with lunch and a visit from Santa.  Families who are planning to attend the lunch are asked to bring a generous dish consisting of a vegetable, salad, or dessert. The entree will be provided. So that enough food can be prepared, please sign up on the back bulletin board by December 4th.
