HAMBURGER SUPPER FUNDRAISER: The CCD Program will hold a Hamburger Supper on Wednesday February22nd in the parish hall from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The class is selling a hamburger plate that includes a burger with all of the trimmings, beans, French fries, tater tots, and ice tea for the price of $6.00. Plates ‘to go’ will also be sold, that evening. Proceeds from the sale will benefit our CCD program. The public is invited to come and enjoy this delicious meal. Your generosity is welcomed and appreciated.
EUCHARISTIC ADORATION: Father Joe will give a presentation on Eucharistic Adoration this Wednesday, February 15th at 6:30 p.m. in the Church. Everyone is welcome to attend.
SANCTUARY FLOWERS: In an effort to beautify our sanctuary during our liturgical celebrations, we would like to have fresh floral arrangements. This would be a wonderful way to honor or memorialize your loved ones. To do so, please contact Agnes Timmons during office hours so that dates can be coordinated.
CHOIR PRACTICE: There will be Choir practice after Mass on Monday, February 13th. Everyone is welcome to attend.
ADULT FORMATION: The Adult Formation Class will not meet on Wednesday, February 15th. The class will be attending a presentation on Eucharistic Adoration presented by Father Joe. It will be held at 6:30 p.m. in the Church.
RCIA: Class will meet on Sun., Feb. 12th from 7:00 – 8:30 p.m. in the Parish Hall. The topics include: The Sacraments of Service and Communion; Marriage as a Visible Sign of Christ’s Love for the Church; Why is Marriage Indissoluble?; What is an Annulment?; What is Wrong with Cohabitation and Gay Marriage?; What is Holy Orders and What Are the Three Levels of Holy Orders?; Christ Present and Working Through Orders; Holy Orders and Celibacy; Why Can’t Women be Priests?
FOR ALL 6TH – 8TH GRADE IHM PARISHIONERS: The Annual Middle School Youth Rally will be held on Saturday, February 25th, at Nolan Catholic High School. This will be an “all day” event (10 am – 8 pm), and we will leave the IHM Church parking lot at 9 am and return by 10 pm. The cost is $20 per child. If you are interested in attending, please sign up on the sheet located on the table in front of the Mother’s room by Sunday, February 12th. KJZT JUNIORS: The next meeting of the KJZT Juniors will be Sunday, February 12 immediately following Mass. Juniors will meet in the Smid Center and need to wear their turquoise t-shirts.
FRIED CHICKEN DINNER: The Church of the Nativity of the BVM in Penelope is having their annual Fried Chicken, Sausage, & Dressing Dinner with all the trimmings on Sunday, February 26th. Serving begins at 11:30 a.m. Adult and plates to go are $10.00 and children plates are $6.00. All are invited.
GRIEF SUPPORT: A grief support group meeting will be held 7:00 p.m. Thursday, February 16th at St. Joseph’s Hall next to St. Mary’s Catholic Church. This is a support group for those in the community who want to gain a better understanding of all the changes experienced in the grief process.

CDA TACO SOUP LUNCHEON — CDA Court Sacred Heart #829 will host the annual Taco Soup and Salad luncheon on Tues. Feb. 28th at the Knights of Columbus Hall from 11 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The donations for adults will be $7 and children $3. “Take-outs” will be available. CDA BUCHTA SALE: CDA Court #829 will have a buchta sale on Saturday, February 25, 2017, at the St. Mary’s Parish Center. Buchtas will sell for $15 and will be available for pickup after 10:30. To donate ingredients or place orders, call Margaret Webre at 254-826-3804, Marcella Sinkule at 254-709-2343, or Evelyn Petter at 254-826-5675. Ladies are needed to help bake and package buchtas for sale beginning at 7a.m. There’s a job for everyone, so come out and have a good time.
