Our gratitude to the individual who sprayed the weeds in the church parking lot.
SANCTUARY FLOWERS: The flowers on the altar this weekend are given in honor of Gary Pustejovsky on the observance of his 50th birthday. Happy Birthday, Gary!
CHOIR PRACTICE: There will be Choir practice after Mass on Monday, July 17th. Everyone is welcome to attend.
SUNDAY ATTIRE: As the summer temperatures climb higher, it’s natural to want to wear cooler clothing. While this is perfectly acceptable in most circumstances, consider that church is a very special place, and Mass is a most solemn moment in our week. We come to present ourselves to Almighty God, to offer our very lives in praise of Him who made us. Consider that you are coming to meet Jesus, our King! Since we’re at church to meet a very important person, let’s dress like it’s a special occasion. Please wear pants, a dress or a skirt to Mass each week, and save the shorts for the backyard. As we dress up for Mass, we can think of it as part of our weekly offering to God. Have a blessed summer!
JOB OPENING: The parishes of Immaculate Heart of Mary and Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary are seeking a full-time DRE to oversee the endeavors of both parishes. The DRE job description and application are located on the Diocesan website at https://fwdioc.org/full-time-employment . If anyone has questions or would like to submit an application please contact Fr. Joe at Joe.keating@fwdioc.org or (254) 582-3092.
