SECOND COLLECTION: Support the Catholic Home Missions Appeal today! Right now, over 40 percent of dioceses in the United States are considered home missions because they are unable to fund essential pastoral work needed in their communities.  Your support funds programs such as religious education, seminary formation, and lay ministry training to build vibrant faith communities right here in the United States.  Please be generous.

SUNDAY ATTIRE: As the summer temperatures climb higher, it’s natural to want to wear cooler clothing.  While this is perfectly acceptable in most circumstances, consider that church is a very special place, and Mass is a most solemn moment in our week.  We come to present ourselves to Almighty God, to offer our very lives in praise of Him who made us.  Consider that you are coming to meet Jesus, our King!  Since we’re at church to meet a very important person, let’s dress like it’s a special occasion.  Please wear pants, a dress or a skirt to Mass each week, and save the shorts for the backyard. As we dress up for Mass, we can think of it as part of our weekly offering to God.  Have a blessed summer!

JOB OPENING: Father Joe is seeking to hire a full time Director of Religious Education to oversee programs at both IHM and Nativity parishes. Please see the flyer in the narthex for details or contact the parish office.

CATHOLIC DAUGHTERS: Hillsboro CDA Court #2143 will meet the 2nd Wednesday of the month at 6:00 p.m. in the parish hall at Our Lady of Mercy Church.  All ladies of the parish are invited.

GRIEF SUPPORT: A grief support group meeting will be held 7:00 p.m. Thursday evening, July 20, 2017 at St. Joseph’s Hall next to St. Mary’s Catholic Church (Corner of Harrison & Mesquite Streets). This is a support group for those in the community who want to gain a better understanding of all the changes experienced in the grief process.  This month the meeting will be led by Reverend Eddy Scheler, Pastor of Ascension Lutheran Church in Cleburne.

PRAYERS FOR THE SICK: Please remember to keep these individuals in your prayers:  Terry  Kramolis, Evelyn Soukup, Susan Tomczak, Mark Helona, Mary Ann Pavlas,  Louise Pappas Woolsey, Eugene Pustejovsky, Johnnie Sinkule,  Joe Helona, Patsy Makovy, Lisa Cole,  Jeanette Urbanovsky, Rosilee Bartosh, Felix Picha, Louise Ondrej, Donna Nelson, Matthew Machac, Bonnie Poole, Lillian Sodek, Jane Vallejo, Max Vallejo, Domingo Balderas, Edward & Virginia Muehlstein, Rocky Steele,  Judy Steele,  Harry Gene Nors, Tommy Pustejovsky, Jimmy Tolbert, Jeff Bernsen, Margie Wolf, Alexis Enriquez, Baylee Owen, Beth Pezanosky, Diana Austin, Monsignor Frank Miller, Deacon John Lauhoff, Bernice Beene, Bobby Tlustos, Cathy Sulak, Jeanne Nicholson, Jamie Beauchamp, Wanda Pustejovsky, Harvey Janek, Opal Davidson, James Homel, Ann Vanek, Mark Kutscherousky, Jim Kornegay, Willie Joe Janek, Darren Boyse,  Sara Casey, Deacon Denver Crawley, Danelle Crawley, Ed Sykora, Doris Nesrsta, Martha Beseda, David Sinkule, Lucy Garza, Hannah Hildebrand, Cooper and Brooklyn Downing, J.
