Thursday, June 29th – The theology of the Eucharist

Friday, June 30th – Eucharistic miracles and devotion

SECOND COLLECTION: Our second collection today is for Peter’s Pence, a worldwide collection that supports the charitable works of Pope Francis.  Funds from this collection help victims of war, oppression, and natural disasters.  Take this opportunity to join with Pope Francis and be a witness of charity to our suffering brothers and sisters.  Please be generous today.

COUNCIL MEETINGS: The Pastoral Council will meet on Monday, June 26th at 6:30 p.m. in the Parish Hall.  The Finance Council will meet at 8:00 p.m.

MINISTER SCHEDULES: New minister schedules for Altar Servers, Lectors, Extraordinary Ministers of the Eucharistic, and Ushers are ready to be picked up.  In an effort to save postage, please get yours from the back table.

IMPORTANT: With the summertime heat upon us, your help is needed to remember to turn off the air conditioning in the various buildings before you leave. Please note, if you turn the fan to the “on” position, you must turn it back to “auto”, otherwise the unit will not shut off.

ALTAR FLOWERS: If you would like flowers for the altar in memory of a loved one or on a special occasion, call the church office. We have openings for Altar flowers in August and September.

ANNUAL PICNIC: St. Joseph’s Annual Picnic at Elk will be held on Sunday, June 25th at the church grounds.  Elk is located 13 miles East of Waco off of Hwy 84. A BBQ/Sausage Dinner with all the trimmings will be served from 11:00 am until 3:00 pm.  All plates will be $10.00. An auction will begin at 1:00 pm along with many other fun activities. See the flyer on the bulletin for more info.

Ken Geraci.  Our dynamic speakers will capture your attention by speaking from the context of their own conversions from Protestantism, the pitfalls they found in classic Reformation theology and Modern Evangelicalism.  They will share how through ongoing study and reason they were led to the conclusion that Catholicism best addresses the needs of modern Christians.  All attendees will be led toward the conclusion that the Catholic Church is the ultimate vision of Christ’s prayer for unity. Friday night begins with a full concert with Matt Maher and John Tibbs! Group rates begin with groups of 10+.  Call for details.
