CONFIRMATION: On Monday, June 6th our parish will host candidates from Abbott, Hillsboro, and Penelope who will be receiving the sacrament of Confirmation. Bishop Olson will be here for Mass which starts at 7:00 p.m. All are invited to celebrate afterwards with light refreshments which will be served in the parish hall.

FAREWELL: In a few short weeks, we will bid Fr. Michael farewell as he will begin his new assignment at St. Vincent de Paul in Arlington on July 1st. To show our appreciation for his time spent here these past months, we will have a kolache breakfast on Father’s Day, June 19th after the 8:00 Mass. Please make plans to attend.

FATHER’S DAY FLOWERS: Donations are now being accepted for Father’s Day flowers.  To honor or remember a special man in your life, put your intentions, along with your donation in an envelope marked “Father’s Day Flowers” and drop in the collection basket. Donations need to be in by June 12th.

MOVIE NIGHT: On Friday, June 17th, our parish will be showing Ignatius Press movie, “Pius XII: Under the Roman Sky”, at 7:30 p.m. in the parish hall. Admission is free, but donations are welcome. Proceeds will benefit our CCD program. The film starring James Cromwell, Alessandra Mastronadrdi, Marco Froschi, and Ellore Bassi is based on Vatican documents and personal testimonies used by advocates for the cause for the canonization of Venerable Pope Pius XII. It focuses on the great, often hidden struggle waged by the Pope and many others with him to save the Jews from the Nazis during WWII. The film runs 200 minutes. Additional DVDs will be available for purchase, again, benefitting our CCD program. Don’t miss this opportunity to gather for fellowship, entertainment, and refreshments.

INTENTIONS NEEDED: We are in need of Cross and Sanctuary Light intentions. Anyone wishing to send in requests may do so by enclosing the intention and donation in a specially marked envelope and placing it in the collection basket.

MINISTER SCHEDULES: New schedules for Lectors, Altar Servers, Ushers, and Eucharistic Ministers will be coming out in July.  Lectors need to have received the sacrament of Confirmation. Altar Servers need to have received the sacrament of First Holy Communion. Head Ushers need to be an adult. Training is available for all these roles. If you are new and wish to be added or need to make any changes, including a new contact number, please include it on the information sheet located on the back table.
