SPECIAL COLLECTION: This weekend, May 10th & 11th we will have a second collection for the Seminarian Formation Fund. Now more than ever, we have a serious need to prepare men to serve the Diocese of Fort Worth as priests. Their education and formation is very expensive and costs continue to rise. Please give generously.
PLEASE NOTE: There will not be a priest available to say Masses next weekend. Therefore, we will have a Communion Service at the regular Mass time on Saturday and Sunday.
NEXT WEEKEND: Our BBQ dinner with raffle will be held on Sunday, May 18th. The meal includes BBQ beef, sausage, potatoes, cole slaw, pinto beans, dessert, and tea. Parishioners whose last name begins with A – M are asked to please furnish a dessert for the meal. Adult plates and Plates to go are $8.00 and children plates under 12 are $6.00. Raffle tickets are available at the entrances of the church, please take several books. Prices are $1.00 each or 6 for $5.00.
THANK YOU: Thank you to all those who donated towards the beautiful flowers which decorated our altar for Mother’s Day. Please see the separate page for a complete listing of the living and deceased honorees. Thank you also to the Knights of Columbus for supplying the carnations for our mothers and to the KJZT Juniors who helped with the presentation of the flowers.
INTENTIONS NEEDED: We are in need of intentions for Sanctuary, Cross, and Cemetery Lights. Please place your intention and donation in a specially marked envelope and place in the collection basket.
COUNCIL MEETINGS: The Finance Council will meet on Monday, May 12, at 6:30 p.m. in the Parish Hall. The Pastoral Council will meet immediately after, at 7:30 p.m. in the Parish Hall.
GRIEF SUPPORT: A grief support group meeting will be held 7:00 p.m. Thursday evening, May 15th at St. Joseph’s Hall next to St. Mary’s Catholic Church. This is a support group for those in the community who want to gain a better understanding of all the changes experienced in the grief process.
