SPECIAL COLLECTION FOR NEPAL: Next weekend, June 6-7, our parish will take up a special collection for the relief efforts taking place in Nepal. Nepal has been struck with two earthquakes recently and our Church mourns the terrible suffering of the many thousands affected by this extraordinary natural disaster. These funds will be used to support the efforts of Catholic Relief Services (CRS) as it responds to the immediate emergency needs for such necessities as water, food, shelter and medical care as well as the long-term needs to rebuild the communities in the affected after widespread destruction. CRS is the official humanitarian agency of the Catholic community in the United States. For additional information on the work of CRS, go to www.crs.org. As you always are, please be generous.
MINISTER SCHEDULES: New schedules for Lectors, Altar Servers, Ushers, and Eucharistic Ministers will be coming out in June. Lectors need to have received the sacrament of Confirmation. Altar Servers need to have received the sacrament of First Holy Communion. Head Ushers need to be an adult. Training is available for all these roles. If you are new and wish to be added or need to make any changes, including a new contact number, please include it on the information sheet located on the back table. Please put these in the collection basket by June 14th. Hope to see some new faces.
