SECOND COLLECTION: Our parish will have a second collection this weekend for the Seminarian Formation Fund. With a total of 28 seminarians studying in seminaries throughout the United States, our Diocese is in need of assistance in funding this expense. Please be generous.

PLEASE NOTE: There will be no Mass on Monday, May 8th or Wednesday, May 10th.

CONGRATULATIONS: Kevin Bettge and Kenna Marek were united in Holy Matrimony this past Saturday. May God bless you with many happy years of marriage.

AND: CCD students who received the sacrament of First Holy Communion this past Sunday include: Sarah Alexander, Jocelyn Alferez, Leo Alferez, David DeBenedictis, Victoria Galuppo, Fisher Lenart, Jaxon Matula, and Johnny Pustejovsky.  May the Holy Spirit continue to work through you in growing and in sharing your Catholic faith.

BAR-B-Q DINNER/RAFFLE: Our BBQ Brisquet & Sausage Dinner with raffle is this Sunday, May 7th.  Serving begins at 11:00 a.m. Parishioners whose last name begins with P-Z are asked to please furnish a dessert for the meal.  Please come out for some good food and fellowship.

SECOND COLLECTION: Next weekend, our parish will participate in a national collection for the Trinity Dome to complete the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception in Washington, DC, before its 100th anniversary.  The National Shrine has been a century in the making, built by the faithful of our nation in honor of our Blessed Mother, the patroness of the United States.

LET’S PARTY: The parish will help Father Joe celebrate his 35th birthday by hosting a party immediately after Mass on Saturday, May 13th. Please sign the sheet on the back bulletin board by this weekend so enough food can be prepared.

PASTORAL COUNCIL NOMINATIONS: The election of three new members for the Pastoral Council will be conducted before Masses this weekend.

COUNCIL MEETINGS: The will Pastoral Council meet on Monday, May 15th, at 6:30 p.m. in the Parish Hall.  The Finance Council will meet immediately after, at 7:30 p.m. in the Parish Hall.

ADULT CONFIRMATION:  The Sacrament of Confirmation will be offered to adults at the parish on Pentecost Sunday.  Any Catholic adult who has not yet received the Sacrament of Confirmation is asked to contact Fr. Joe during the Easter Season to arrange for reception of the Sacrament.

DAY RETREAT: All ladies of the parish are invited to attend Women of Witness, a day retreat which will be held here on Saturday, May 13th. The day begins with Mass at 9:00 a.m. and ends at 4:00 p.m. Lunch will be provided. Cost is $5. Please sign up on the sheet on the back table by May 7th if you are planning to attend.

MASS INTENTIONS: There are openings for Masses at this time.  Specific dates can be requested on Mondays, Wednesdays, or Saturdays. The dates for Mass intentions must fall between January 17, 2018 and April 30, 2018. Intentions outside of this time frame will be sent to the Chancery Office and the Masses will be said at the Diocese.

RCIA: RCIA Class will meet on Sunday, May 7th from 7:00 – 8:30 p.m. in the Parish Hall.

FOR SALE: If your lawn mower didn’t make it over the long winter, you’re in luck: Riding Lawnmower — $500.00 / OBO. Call the rectory during office hours.

BAKE SALE: The KJZT Juniors will be selling baked goods and raffle tickets after the weekend masses on May 20 & 21.  The juniors will be attending Camp Guardian Angel in June, and 100% of sale proceeds go toward their camp fees.   Raffle tickets are $1 each or 6 tickets for $5.  The raffle drawing will be held during camp and the top prize is a $500 Visa gift card.  You can contact a junior member anytime between now and the end of June to purchase raffle tickets.  The juniors appreciate your generous support!

CATHOLIC DAUGHTERS: Hillsboro CDA Court #2143 will meet the 2nd Wednesday of the month at 6:00 p.m. in the parish hall at Our Lady of Mercy Church.  All ladies of the parish are invited.
