AND: Thank you to everyone who brought items to be included in the Operation Christmas Child shoe boxes, as well as the Confirmation Class who assembled a total of 76 boxes.
FISH DINNER/RAFFLE: Next Sunday is our Fish/Chicken dinner and raffle. The rest of the meal includes homemade potato salad, cole slaw, pinto beans, dessert, and tea. Parishioners whose last name begins with A – M are asked to please furnish a dessert for the meal. Adult plates and Plates to go are $10.00 and children plates under 12 are $6.00. Raffle tickets are available at the entrances of the church. Invite family and friends to come out and enjoy great food and fellowship.
SPECIAL COLLECTION: Next weekend’s collection for the Catholic Campaign for Human Development needs your help. CCHD was founded to end the cycle of poverty in the United States by funding organizations that help individuals help themselves. With the tradition of improving education, housing situations, and community economic development, CCHD continues to make a positive impact in communities nationwide. Your contribution will defend human dignity and reach out to those living on the margins. Please give to the CCHD collection.
PENANCE SERVICE: There will be a Penance Service on Monday, November 28th at 6:30 p.m.
THANGKGIVING MASS: The Thanksgiving Day Mass schedule is as follows:
Immaculate Heart of Mary at 8:00 a. m.
Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary at 10:00 a.m.
EUCHARISTIC ADORATION: Parishioners will have the opportunity for personal prayer before the Blessed Sacrament beginning Saturday, November 12th. Adoration will take place every Saturday beginning at 4:30 p.m. and ending with Benediction at 5:30. Confessions will be heard during this time as well. The rosary will begin at 5:35 followed by Mass at 6:00 p.m. While the Blessed Sacrament is exposed in a monstrance, adorers must be present. If you can be available for one of the Saturdays, please sign the sheet near the prayer intention book at the entrance of the Church.
CHRISTMAS FLOWERS: Parishioners will have an opportunity to pre-order poinsettias which will be used to decorate our church for the Christmas season. Orders need to be in by next weekend, November 20th. Envelopes, located at the entrances of the church, can be used to write your intentions and enclosing the payment for the number of plants that you intend to purchase. The cost of each plant is $10.25 and can be paid for with either cash or by check. Please make the check payable to Wolfe Wholesale Florist. Your completed envelope can be placed in the collection basket. Orders are being taken for plants that will be for church use only. No extra plants will be ordered.
HILLSBORO INTERFAITH MINISTRIES: HIM is a county wide entity which provides food and clothing among other things to those less fortunate. Monetary donations, food, and clothing can be delivered to the distribution center located 214-A East Elm Street in Hillsboro (across the street from the closed Wells Fargo). Also, the center can always use extra volunteers. To get more information about contributing or how to become a volunteer, please contact George Harris, who is one of our parishioners, at 254-580-2717.

RCIA: Class will take place on Sunday evening, November 13th from 7:00 – 8:30 p.m in the Parish Hall. The topics include: : The Church is Instituted by Christ Himself, The Church as Both Human and Divine, The Church is One, Holy, Catholic & Apostolic, The Gift of the Church in Our Lives. All people are invited to attend.
ADULT FORMATION: Come join the Adult Formation class on Wednesday from 6:30 – 7:30 p.m. in the Parish Hall. The topics include: Who are the Saints?; Why Do Catholics Pray to the Saints?; Mary’s Unique Holiness & Role in Salvation & the Church; Mary as Mother of God; The Immaculate Conception; The Perpetual Virginity of Mary; The Assumption of Mary; and What is Devotion to Mary? All are invited.
PLANNING AHEAD: Deacon Harold Burke-Sivers and Jesse Romero will be giving a presentation on Mary in Buda (near Austin) on December 2nd – 3rd. What better way to anticipate the coming of the Lord into the world this Advent than to unite ourselves with the Woman through whom the “word became flesh?” Register through the Fullness of Truth website at fullnessoftruth.org. KJZT JUNIORS: The KJZT Juniors will meet on Sat., Nov. 19th at 9:00 a.m. in the big hall. ALSO, The KJZT Juniors will participate in their People Helping People Parish Fund Raiser project as they help host the parish fried fish dinner on November 20. Juniors need to wear their turquoise t-shirts, jeans and comfortable shoes. Juniors working the first shift need to report for assignment of duties at 10:45.

FEEDING FAMILIES ACROSS TEXAS: Sunday, November 13th is the deadline for contributing to the Feeding Families Across Texas fundraiser that the KJZT (Adult and Juniors) are conducting.
