FISH DINNER THANK YOU: Many, many thanks to all those individuals who helped in any way with the Fish/Chicken Dinner last Sunday. Volunteers included those who cooked and served the meal, our KJZT Jrs. who kept the tea glasses full, all the individuals who provided the wonderful desserts and last but not least, all those who came out and supported the fundraiser.
THANK YOU: The parish wishes to thank Brian Muska of West True Value who donated a roaster for use in our parish hall kitchen.
KJZT THANK YOU: Thank You from the Abbott KJZT #104 (Adult and Junior Division), as they were able to present Hillsboro Interfaith Ministries a donation of $760.00 for their Food for Families Drive this past Friday. $380.00 was collected from our parishioners and the KJZT Home Office matched the amount. May you all have a blessed Thanksgiving. Your generosity and concern are greatly appreciated.
SECOND COLLECTION: Our second collection this weekend benefits the Catholic Campaign for Human Development. Your gifts will help CCHD end poverty in the United States through better education, improved housing, and economic development.
CHRISTMAS RECONCILIATION: Confessions in Abbott will be on Dec. 8th at 6:45 pm after Mass. There will be an extra priest available to hear confessions.
CHRISTMAS FLOWERS: November 23 is the last day to place orders for Christmas flowers. Envelopes, located at the entrances of the church, can be used to write your intentions and enclosing the payment for the number of plants that you intend to purchase. The cost of each plant is $9.50 and can be paid for with either cash or by check. Please make the check payable to Wolfe Wholesale Florist. Your completed envelope can be placed in the collection basket. Orders are being taken for plants that will be for church use only. No extra plants will be ordered. If you have any questions, please call Agnes Timmons, 580-8125.
NO CCD: There will be NO CCD classes on Wednesday, November 26 because of Thanksgiving.
MINISTER SCHEDULES: New schedules for Lectors, Altar Servers, Ushers, and Eucharistic Ministers will be coming out in December. We are always looking for new lectors and altar servers and ushers. At this time, we are in need of more lectors, as we have only four lectors for Saturday and six for our Sunday liturgies. Lectors need to have received the sacrament of Confirmation. Altar Servers need to have received the sacrament of First Holy Communion. Head Ushers need to be an adult. Training is available. If you are new and wish to be added or need to make any changes, including a new contact number, please include it on the information sheet located on the back table. Please put these in the collection basket by December 7. Hope to see some new faces.
