ADVENT PENANCE SERVICE: There will be An Advent Penance Service on Mon., November 28th at 6:30 p.m.

CHOIR PRACTICE: There will be Choir practice on Tuesday, November 29th at 6:30 p.m.  Anyone is welcome to attend.

HOLY DAY OF OBLIGATION: Thursday, December 8th is the Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary.  It is a Holy Day of obligation.

  • Vigil Mass at Immaculate Heart, Wednesday, December 7th at 6:30 p.m.  (CCD students will attend Mass instead of their usual class.)
  • Mass at Immaculate Heart, Thursday, December 8th at 8:00 a.m.
  • Mass at Nativity BVM, Thursday at 7:00 p.m.

MINISTER SCHEDULES: New schedules for Lectors, Altar Servers, Ushers, and Eucharistic Ministers will be coming out in December.  Lectors need to have received the sacrament of Confirmation. Altar Servers need to have received the sacrament of First Holy Communion. Head Ushers need to be an adult. Training is available for all these roles. If you are new and wish to be added or need to make any changes, including a new contact number, please include it on the information sheet located on the back table. Please put these in the collection basket by December 11th.  Hope to see some new faces.

COUNCIL MEETINGS: The Finance Council will meet on Monday, December 5th, at 6:30 p.m. in the Parish Hall.  The Pastoral Council will meet immediately after, at 7:30 p.m. in the Parish Hall.

COLLECTION ENVELOPES: The 2017 collection envelopes are available to be picked up.  They can be found on the table at the back of church. If you do not find your name on a box of envelopes and wish to use them, please take a blank box and write your name on the envelope the first time you use them after the new year.  Also, if you need a statement showing the total of your yearly contributions that were made through your church envelopes, please contact Agnes Timmons after the first of the year.

FYI: There is a Catholic Radio station out of Waco, 98.3 FM., which can benefit its listeners with spiritual growth and to better understand the gift we have been given in being part of the one, holy, Catholic, and apostolic Church.

RCIA: No Class on Sunday, November 27th. The next class will meet on Sunday, December 4th from 7:00 – 8:30 p.m in the Parish Hall. The topics include: The topics include: Who are the Saints?; Why Do Catholics Pray to the Saints?; Mary’s Unique Holiness & Role in Salvation & the Church; Mary as Mother of God; The Immaculate Conception; The Perpetual Virginity of Mary; The Assumption of Mary; and What is Devotion to Mary?

ADULT FORMATION: Come join the Adult Formation class on Wednesday, November 30 from 6:30 – 7:30 p.m. This week, we will meet in the church and hear Father Joe speak about Liturgy of the Hours. All are invited.

EUCHARISTIC ADORATION: Adoration will take place every Saturday beginning at 4:30 p.m. and ending with Benediction at 5:30.  Please sign the sheet at the entrance of the Church to ensure that someone is available to adore.

VOCATIONS: All women (15 and older) discerning their vocation to the religious life are invited to the Marian Dinner and Mass on Wednesday, December 7th from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church in Keller. Please see the flyer on the bulletin for more information.

BELL RINGERS NEEDED: The Salvation Army is in need of volunteers for the Bell Ringer Campaign which runs from November 25th – December 24th at the Hillsboro Wal-Mart. All donations will stay in Hill County.  If interested in helping, please contact Brenda Rowe at 254-694-8645.

CHRISTMAS SOCIAL: The Annual KJT & KJZT Christmas Social and Meetings will be held on, Sunday, December 11th.  Meetings will begin at 10:30 a.m., followed with a program presented by the KJZT Juniors, with lunch and a visit from Santa.  Families who are planning to attend the lunch are asked to bring a generous dish consisting of a vegetable, salad, or dessert. The entree will be provided. So that enough food can be prepared, please sign up on the back bulletin board by December 4th.
