Father Joe will be out of the office on Monday, October 24th.   There will be no evening Mass.  

WORLD MISSION SUNDAY: This weekend, we will have a second collection for World Mission Sunday.  Please help those priests, religious and lay leaders who serve some of the poorest of the poor.  Please be as generous as you can.

HOLY DAY: Tuesday, November 1st is All Saints Day.

It is a Holy Day of Obligation.

FISH/CHICKEN DINNER/RAFFLE: Our annual Fried Fish & Chicken dinner is quickly approaching. The dinner and raffle will be held on Sunday, November 20th.  At this time, we would like to start collecting raffle items or cash to go towards the purchase of an item. To donate, please contact Agnes Timmons at 254-580-8125. So that tickets can be printed, please contact by November 6th.  All donations will be appreciated.

CHOIR PRACTICE: There will be Choir practice after Mass on Monday, October 24th. Anyone is welcome to attend.

PARISH DATABASE: Our parish roster is in need of updating. Because the information will be entered into a database, it will require all individuals and families, those who are currently registered, as well as those who are new to the parish and would like to become registered parishioners, to complete a registration form. (Families who registered through the CCD program do not need to complete another form.) If you are aware of any homebound individuals, please take them a form and assist them in completing and returning it. Extra forms are located at all entrances of the church. Please complete all parts of the form that apply to you. Forms can be mailed to: 601 W. Houston, Abbott, 76621 or dropped in the collection basket. Forms need to be returned by October 30th if at all possible.

CONGRATULATIONS: We did it! Our parish exceeded our goal for the Annual Diocesan Appeal. We are currently at 192.37% of our goal. More results are on the bulletin board.

MEETING: KJT and KJZT will meet immediately after mass on Sunday, October 30, 2016.  There are several important items on the agenda.  Please plan to attend.

GARAGE SALE: there are a few items for sale in the rectory:
Riding Lawnmower — $500.00;  Set of speakers:  two wooden cases each containing a 16” and a 12” speaker —$50/set OBO. If you are interested in any of these items, please contact the church office.

RCIA: Class will take place on Sunday evening, October 23rd from 7:00 – 8:30 p.m in the Parish Hall. The topics include: Jesus is Fully Divine and Fully Reveals God, The Miracles of Jesus, Jesus is Fully Human, Jesus Heals and Restores Our Human Nature. All people are invited to attend.

ADULT FORMATION: Come join the Adult Formation class on Wednesday from 6:30 – 7:30 p.m. in the Parish Hall. The topics include: Who is the Holy Spirit? The Holy Spirit and the Life of Grace and Sanctification, The Gifts and Fruits of the Holy Spirit, How Are We Saved?, and Living in Relationship with the Holy Spirit. All are invited.

MINISTER SCHEDULES: New minister schedules for Altar Servers, Lectors, Eucharistic  Ministers, and Ushers are ready to be picked up.  In an effort to save postage, please get yours from the back table.
