EASTER THANKS: Our thanks and appreciation to all those individuals who helped make our Easter Services so meaningful: our musicians and choir, lectors, altar servers, ushers, Eucharistic Ministers, sacristans, and to those parishioners who purchased lilies in honor and in memory of their loved ones. Please see the flyer for a complete listing of flower donations.
RICE BOWL: Rice Bowl donations will be turned in this weekend. Please place them in the basket located on the back table. We prayed, fasted and gave alms – and now we celebrate Easter joy! Our Lenten journey with CRS Rice bowl ends as we encounter our risen Lord. We reflect on our brothers and sisters whom we have walked with in India, Zambia, El Salvador, Mexico, Ethiopia and Hawaii. And we commit to bring Easter joy to each person we meet in our daily lives.
HAPPY ANNIVERSARY: The floral arrangement near the Blessed Mother was given in honor of the 50th Wedding Anniversary of Ron & Rose Ann Kaska.
IN MEMORY: Two pots of greenery used on the altar were given in memory of Nita Johnson.
RCIA: RCIA Class will not meet on Sunday, April 16th because of Easter.
MOTHER’S DAY FLOWERS: Donations are now being accepted for Mother’s Day flowers. To honor or remember a special lady in your life, put your intentions, along with your donation in one of the special envelopes located at the entrances of the church and drop in the collection basket by April 30th.
BAR-B-Q DINNER/RAFFLE: We will continue to collect raffle items or cash to go towards the purchase of an item until April 16th. We currently have three prizes donated. If you wish to donate an item, please contact Agnes Timmons at 254-580-8125. Donations are greatly appreciated.
PASTORAL COUNCIL NOMINATIONS: Parishioners will have the opportunity over the next two weekends to nominate individuals or themselves as a candidate to fill one of three positions on the Pastoral Council. Prayerfully consider who would lead our parish at this time and then write the name or names (there is no limit) on a slip of paper and place in the collection basket by Sunday, April 23rd. Members of the Finance Council are unable to serve on both councils, therefore do not nominate Charles Beseda, Annette Ballew, or Lucy Pustejovsky. There are three members who have finished their terms on the Pastoral Council that are not eligible to serve for one year. They include Karen Marak, Gary Pustejovsky, and Louise Sullins. Finally, please do not nominate any current members of the Pastoral Council members: Molly Gerik, Andy Pustejovsky, Ben Pustejovsky, Ernie Pustejovsky, Kathy Pustejovsky, and Patrick Timmons.
