My Dear Friends and Parish Family in Christ,

I wish you all a Blessed Easter.

May the Glory of Jesus’ Resurrection

Enrich your life with Love, Joy and Peace.

Be assured that you and all those you love

will be remembered in the

Holy Sacrifice of the Mass on Easter and always.

Father Ouseph

PLEASE NOTE: We will have a priest available on Saturday, April 26th to celebrate the 6:00 p.m. Mass. On Sunday, we will be having a Communion Service, no Mass, at 8:00 a.m. Also, just a reminder that we will not have weekday Masses. If you need a priest while Father is away, please call Agnes Timmons at 254-580-8125.

THANK YOU: Many thanks to all those who donated Easter flowers in memory of or in honor of their loved ones.  They will add to the beauty of our liturgies throughout the Easter Season. Please see the flyer for a complete listing of flower donations.

BBQ DINNER/RAFFLE: Our annual BBQ dinner is quickly approaching. The dinner and raffle will be held on Sunday, May 18th.  Monday, April 21st is the deadline to donate raffle items or cash to go towards the purchase of an item. To donate, please contact the following individuals: Ronda Ballew at 749-4855 or Karen Marak at 582-2476. All donations will be greatly appreciated.

RAFFLE: The Catholic Family Fraternal of Texas – KJZT Junior Division Society #104 will selling raffle tickets after the weekend masses on April 26 & 27.  In June, the juniors will be attending Camp Guardian Angel in Ledbetter, TX, and 100% of raffle ticket proceeds go toward their camp fees.   Raffle tickets are $1 each or 6 tickets for $5.  The raffle drawing will be held during camp and the top prize is a $500 Visa gift card.  Other prizes include a variety of gift cards, framed pictures, a canned goods basket, Sharing Our Best Cookbook, and the Painted Churches of Texas DVD.  You can contact a junior member anytime between now and camp to purchase raffle tickets.  The juniors appreciate your generous support.

MUSEUM FUNDRAISER: On Sunday, April 27th, the History of West Museum is having a Slovacek’s beef brisket and sausage dinner with all the trimmings, auction, and raffle at the West Knights of Columbus Hall.  Serving starts at 11AM with drive through line available.  Plates are $8.00.  Funds will be used for renovation of the museum building in downtown West and preparation of exhibits.

RICE BOWL:  During the past six weeks, our parish community has prayed, fasted and given alms with a special focus on the poorest members our global community.  Our lives were touched by stories from Kenya, Guatemala, the Philippines, Malawi, Haiti, and the United States. Through our Lenten prayers and donations, we have touched the lives of millions of people served by Catholic Relief Services, our representative to the poorest communities in the world. Please return your Rice Bowl by emptying the contents into an envelope.  Please label the envelope as “Rice Bowl” and drop in the collection basket.  Thank you for your generosity.
