WELCOME: We wish to welcome all family and friends joining us as our parish family celebrates First Holy Communion.
FIRST COMMUNION BREAKFAST: KJZT will be hosting the First Communion Breakfast. Everyone is invited to join us to help celebrate this special event with our First Communicants and their families.
SPECIAL COLLECTION: This weekend, we will have a second collection for the Seminarian Formation Fund. Now more than ever, we have a serious need to prepare men to serve the Diocese of Fort Worth as priests. Their education and formation is very expensive and costs continue to rise. Please give generously.
PASTORAL COUNCIL NOMINATIONS: The following is a list of individuals whose names will be on the ballot for the Pastoral Council election which will be held during the Masses next weekend. Parishioners will be asked to vote for no more than three (3) of these nominees: Molly Gerik, Andy Pustejovsky, Doug Pustejovsky, Ernie Pustejovsky.
MOTHER’S DAY FLOWERS: This is the last weekend to make requests for Mother’s Day flowers. To honor or remember a special lady in your life, put your intentions, along with your donation in an envelope marked “Mother’s Day Flowers”.
BBQ DINNER/RAFFLE: Our annual BBQ dinner is quickly approaching. The dinner and raffle will be held on Sunday, May 24th. We would like to start collecting raffle items or cash for purchasing an item. To donate, please contact Karen Marak at 582-2476 or Agnes Timmons at 580-8125. So that tickets can be printed, please contact by May 3rd. All donations will be greatly appreciated.
THANK YOU: The KJZT juniors would like to thank the parish community for its generous support of the juniors’ summer camp fundraiser last weekend. It was a great success! Juniors will continue to sell raffle tickets until camp begins on June 25. The raffle drawing will take place during camp.
MISSIONARY: The Sisters of St. Francis’ missioners will be speaking at both Masses on the weekend of May 9th & 10th. The Sisters serve those who are poor, with foreign missions in Mexico and home missions in Appalachia. In remote areas of Mexico they work to build faith communities where there are no priests for regular Sunday Masses. Sisters also give children living in extreme poverty the opportunity to obtain an education plus emergency needs of food and medicine. Appalachian ministries include faith development and pastoral care, adult literacy, and emergency outreach of food, clothing, and shelter for the poor. Please help make a difference in the lives of people suffering from poverty with your prayers and financial support.
CHOIR PRACTICE: There will be Choir practice after Mass on Monday, April 27th.
