BREAKFAST: The KJZT will be hosting the First Communion breakfast in the Parish hall immediately after Mass.  Everyone is invited to the celebration.

SECOND COLLECTION: As part of the Good Shepherd Sunday celebrations, The Diocese of Fort Worth will again this year ask parishioners to generously support our seminarians through the Seminarian formation fund. There are currently 28 seminarians studying in seminaries throughout the United States. The Diocese of Fort Worth provides formation for each seminarian at an annual average cost of $52,092.  The Good Shepherd Sunday Special Collection assists with funding this annual cost. In addition to Sunday collection, donations are being accepted online at www.fwdioc.org. Please give generously.

LET’S PARTY: Father Joe’s birthday is Wednesday, May 10th. The parish will help him celebrate the big day by hosting a party immediately after Mass on Saturday, May 13th. Please sign the sheet on the back bulletin board by May 7th so enough food can be prepared.

PASTORAL COUNCIL NOMINATIONS: The following is a list of individuals whose names will be on the ballot for the Pastoral Council election which will be held next weekend. Parishioners will be asked to vote for no more than three (3) nominees:  Patrick Hejl, Aprille Kaska, Justin Kaska, Robert Moore, Brad Padgett, Jeanette Urbanovsky, and Lauren Wolf.

RCIA: RCIA Class will meet on Sunday, April 30th from 7:00 – 8:30 p.m. in the Parish Hall.

MOTHER’S DAY FLOWERS: This is the last weekend to make donations for Mother’s Day flowers. Please put your intention/ donation in one of the envelopes located at the entrances of the church and drop in the collection basket.

MAY CROWNING: May Crowning will be held on Wednesday, May 3, following the 6:00 p.m. Mass.  Please join the youth of our parish as they honor and crown our Blessed Mother Mary with flowers.  CCD students will attend with their classes and should report to their classrooms at 6:30.  Don’t forget to bring a spring flower for Mary. Following May Crowning the students will return to the hall for the end of the CCD year pizza party.

BAR-B-Q DINNER/RAFFLE: Our BBQ Brisquet & Sausage Dinner with raffle will be held next Sunday, May 7th.  The meal  includes brisquet, sausage, parsley potatoes, cole slaw, pinto beans, dessert, and tea.  Parishioners whose last name begins with P-Z are asked to please furnish a dessert for the meal.  Adult plates and Plates to go are $9.00 and children plates under 12 are $6.00. Raffle tickets are available at the entrances of the church, please take several books. Prices are $1.00 each or 6 for $5.00.

DAY RETREAT: All ladies of the parish are invited to attend Women of Witness, a day retreat which will be held here on Saturday, May 13th. The day begins with Mass at 9:00 a.m. and ends at 4:00 p.m. Activities throughout the day include: personal testimonies by other women, faith sharing, prayer, and more. Lunch will be provided. Cost is $5.00. Please sign up on the sheet on the bulletin board if you are planning to attend.

TODAY: District V Annual KJT Family Day will be held on Sunday, April 30, 2017 at the Dulak-Snapka Farm located at Tokio, Texas.  Registration begins at 11:00 a.m. Festivities/Fishing will be from 12:00 – 3:00 p.m.  Food will be provided.  Bring your fishing equipment and lawn chairs.  District V Meeting will be held @ 3:15 p.m. 

TODAY: St. Mary’s Church of the Assumption in Waco will be having their Spring Festival at Geneva Hall on Sunday, April 30th starting at 10:30 a.m.  And for car enthusiasts, there will be a Rod and Custom Show. Please see the flyers on the back bulletin for more info.

CATHOLIC DAUGHTERS: Hillsboro CDA Court #2143 will meet the 2nd Wednesday of the month at 6:00 p.m. in the parish hall at Our Lady of Mercy Church.  All ladies of the parish are invited.

DISCERNMENT WEEKEND: The Sisters of the Holy Family of Nazareth will be hosting a Discernment Weekend for women age 18 and older on May 5-7. Please see the flyer on the bulletin board.

DIOCESAN TRAVEL PROGRAM: Our own, Father Joe will be the chaplain for the upcoming pilgrimage to France. It will take place October 18-30, 2017. So, plan ahead. 13 Days through France’s Wine Region to Lourdes including: Paris, Lourdes, Normandy Beaches, Giverny, Abbey at Mont St. Michel, Caen, Bordeaux, Toulouse, Biarritz, Medieval Walled-in City of Carcessonne.
