SPAGHETTI DINNER: Our Annual Spaghetti Dinner and Raffle is today. Serving starts at 11:00 a.m. Parishioners whose last names begin with A – M are asked to please bring a dessert to be served with the meal. Raffle tickets are available at the entrances of the church. Bring your family and friends to enjoy a great meal and great company. Hope to see everyone there.

CHOIR PRACTICE: There will be Choir practice after Mass on Monday,  August 24th.

MINISTER SCHEDULES: New schedules for Lectors, Altar Servers, Ushers, and Eucharistic Ministers will be coming out in September.  Lectors need to have received the sacrament of Confirmation. Altar Servers need to have received the sacrament of First Holy Communion. Head Ushers need to be an adult. Training is available for all these roles. If you are new and wish to be added or need to make any changes, including a new contact number, please include it on the information sheet located on the back table. Please put these in the collection basket by September 6th.  Hope to see some new faces.

SAFE ENVIRONMENT TRAINING:  The IHM Parish will host another Safe Environment Training session on Wednesday, August 26th in the Parish Hall immediately after Mass. Parishioners who need to complete or renew the training should make plans to stay for this event. Training normally lasts about 2 hours. Training is valid for 3 years before renewal is needed. All adult parishioners who volunteer in any capacity are required by the Diocese of Fort Worth to participate in this training including lectors, Eucharistic ministers, members of the choir, ushers, CCD teachers, and anyone involved in youth ministries as sponsors or chaperones.  Contact Terry Timmons (254-580-2228) for any questions.

KJZT JUNIORS: The next meeting of the KJZT Juniors will be Sunday morning, August 23 at 10:15 in the church hall.  Juniors, please wear your turquoise society 104 t-shirts, jeans and comfortable shoes.  We will work at the spaghetti dinner immediately after the meeting.

WOMEN’S ACTS RETREAT:  Ladies, Are you looking for a “girl’s weekend”? Mark September 17-20th on your calendar!!! Not only will you meet some new friends, but you will also have an opportunity to reconnect with Our Heavenly Father. Please consider attending the Women’s Fall ACTS Retreat. You can get a registration form on the back table.  Come join us!
