HAMBURGER SUPPER FUNDRAISER: CCD will hold a Hamburger Supper on Wednesday, February 11th, 2015 at the parish hall from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. They are selling a hamburger plate that includes a hamburger with all of the trimmings, beans, French fries, tater tots, and ice tea for the price of $6.00. Plates ‘to go’ will also be sold that evening. Proceeds from the sale will benefit our CCD by updating equipment and the library. The public is invited to come and purchase the delicious hamburger meal. Your generosity is welcomed and appreciated.
FLOWERS: The flowers by the Blessed Mother were given in honor of the birthdays of Doris Nesrsta (Feb. 13th) and Father Stephen Nesrsta (Feb. 23rd) by Johnnie and Mary Pustejovsky.
MORE FLOWERS: The flowers in front of the altar were given in memory of Bess Jaska Hlavaty on the occasion of her 100th birthday (February 18th) by her loving family.

CCD NEWS: Students are encouraged to attend Ash Wednesday Mass with their family rather than have class. Classes will resume the following Wednesday.
FIRST RECONCILIATION: We would like to extend our congratulations to the second grade CCD class on receiving the sacrament of First Reconciliation on Wednesday, February 4th. Please pray for these children as they continue their lessons to receiving the sacrament of the First Holy Eucharist, which will be on Sunday, April 26th during the 8:00 a.m. Mass.
CHOIR PRACTICE: There will be Choir practice after Mass on Monday,
February 9th.
STATIONS OF THE CROSS: Our parish will have Stations of the Cross at 6:30 p.m., on Fridays during Lent. In the past, they have been led by parish organizations or CCD classes. Available dates include: February 20, March 6, 13, 20, and April 3. If any group wishes to lead the stations on one of these evenings, please contact Agnes Timmons so that it can be scheduled.
KJZT SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATIONS: The Catholic Family Fraternal of Texas – KJZT is now accepting 2015 scholarship applications. FAT TUESDAY LUNCHEON: The Catholic Daughters of the Americas Court #829 will host the annual Fat Tuesday Taco Soup and Salad Luncheon on Tuesday, February 17, 2015, at the Knights of Columbus Hall, 2547 Jerry Mashek Drive, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The donation for Adults will be $7.00 and Children $3.00. “Take-outs” will be available. There will be a Silent Auction during the luncheon. Raffle tickets are available for $2.00 each or 3 for $5.00. For tickets, contact any CDA member, or call Dianne Friend, at 254-826-4320.
BUCTHA SALE: The Catholic Daughter’s of the Americas Court #829 will have a buchta sale on Saturday, February 14th, at the St. Mary’s Church of the Assumption Parish Center in West. Buchta’s will sell for $13.00 and will be available for pickup after 10:30 a.m.
