SECOND COLLECTION: Next week, we will take up the Collection for the Church in Latin America. Please prayerfully consider supporting this collection, which assists programs that strengthen the faith in Latin America and the Caribbean. Your gifts help share the faith by providing lay leadership training, catechesis, priestly and religious formation, as well as other programs.
FYI: Week of Prayer for Christian Unity January 18-25, 2017 – The theme of this year’s Week of Prayer for Christian Unity is “Reconciliation-The Love of Christ Compels Us.” The Week of Prayer for Christian Unity has a history of over 100 years . . . , in which Christians around the world have taken part in an octave of prayer for visible Christian unity. By annually observing the WPCU, Christians move toward the fulfillment of Jesus’ prayer at the Last Supper “that they all may be one.”
APPRECIATION MEAL: To show appreciation for all the gifts and talents that our parishioners share with the church, the Parish will host an Appreciation Meal on February 19th in the Parish Hall. As a special treat, Father Joe will be cooking the meal. We will gather at 6:00 p.m. and eat dinner at 6:30 p.m. All Parishioners are invited. (There is no cost.) Please use the RSVP form included with the bulletin and drop in the collection basket or register on the signup sheet on the back bulletin board by February 5th so that enough food can be prepared.
ADULT FORMATION: The Adult Formation Class will not meet on Wed., Jan. 25th. The class will be attending a presentation on Lectio Divina presented by Father Joe. It will be held at 6:30 p.m. in the Church.
RCIA: Class will meet on Sunday, January 22nd from 7:00 – 8:30 p.m. in the Parish Hall. The topics include: The Mass as the Source and Summit of the Christian Life; Why is Sunday Mass an Obligation?; The Mass as Rooted in Scripture and Tradition; The Liturgy of the Word and The Liturgy of the Eucharist; How to Prepare for Mass; the Difference the Mass Makes in Our Lives.

INTENTIONS NEEDED: We have openings for Cemetery, Cross, and Sanctuary Light intentions. Anyone wishing to send in requests may do so by enclosing the intention and donation in a specially marked envelope and placing it in the collection basket.
