SECOND COLLECTION NEXT WEEKEND: Today, we take up the Collection for the Church in Latin America. Your gifts to the collection will fund catechesis, marriage and family life programs, and seminarian education in Latin America and the Caribbean. The support you give todaywill lprovide opportunities for years to come. Please support the Church in Latin America and be generous in today’s collection.

COMMUNION FROM THE CUP: The Diocese has lifted the ban from Communion from the cup that it had placed on parishes due to influenza. Parishioners can return to Communion under both species, as well as shaking hands during the sign of peace.

HAMBURGER SUPPER FUNDRAISER: CCD will hold a Hamburger Supper on Wednesday, February 11th, 2015 at the parish hall from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. They are selling a hamburger plate that includes a hamburger with all of the trimmings, beans, French fries, tater tots, and ice tea for the price of $6.00. Plates ‘to go’ will also be sold that evening. Proceeds from the sale will benefit our CCD by updating equipment and the library. The public is invited to come and purchase the delicious hamburger meal. Your generosity is welcomed and appreciated.

BLESSING OF THE THROATS: In recognition of the Feast Day of St. Blaise, there will be Blessing of the Throats during both Masses next weekend, January 31 & February 1st.

CHOIR PRACTICE: There will be Choir practice after Mass on Monday, January 26th.

KJZT SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATIONS: The Catholic Family Fraternal of Texas – KJZT is now accepting 2015 scholarship applications. Scholarships are available to high school graduates who are planning to attend college or current college students. The Fraternal also offers scholarships to members who are planning to attend or are currently attending a technical or vocational school full time. BEGINNING EXPERIENCE: Are you, or is someone you know, struggling after the loss of a marriage partner? The Beginning Experience is a peer ministry for widowed, separated, or divorced individuals. It is a weekend program to help move from the darkness of grief into the light of a new beginning of hope for the future. Rooted in the Catholic tradition, this ministry is open to men and women of all faiths.
