PRIEST CARE FUND SPECIAL COLLECTION: Next weekend, we will take up a special collection for the Diocesan Priest Care Fund. Each year contributions from this collection are distributed to cover the costs of priests who are either in special or convalescent care and who have exhausted medical coverage and personal resources. These are our shepherds who have dedicated their lives to serving God’s people. Your generosity is greatly appreciated.
SPAGHETTI DINNER: Our Annual Spaghetti Dinner will be held on August 27th. The meal consisting of spaghetti and meat sauce, salad bar, garlic bread, dessert and drink is from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Adult plates and plates to go are $9.00 and $6.00 for children under 12. Please invite your family and friends to come out and enjoy a delicious meal and fellowship. Parishioners whose last names begin with A – O are asked to please bring a dessert to be served with the meal. Also, if anyone wishes to make a cash donation towards the meat or other ingredients, please put it in a specially marked envelope and place it in the collection basket.

COUNCIL MEETINGS: The Pastoral Council will meet on Monday, July 31st, at 6:30 p.m. in the Parish Hall. The Finance Council will meet at 8:00 p.m.
JOB OPENING: The parishes of Immaculate Heart of Mary and Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary are seeking a full-time DRE to oversee the endeavors of both parishes. STROKE SCREENING: Next weekend there will be representatives from Stroke Scan who will be available to set up appointments for stroke screenings for anyone who is interested. The screenings will be conducted on Monday, August 14th.
CHOIR PRACTICE: There will be Choir practice after Mass on Monday, July 31st. Everyone is welcome to attend
HOLY DAY OF OBLIGATION: August 15th is the Solemnity of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Declared a dogma of faith in 1950 by Pope Piux XII, this Holy Day of Obligation celebrates Mary being taken up into Heaven body and soul at the end of her life.
Mass attendance on this day is required and will be available as follows:

POLKA MASS: Sunday (July 30, 2017) Polka Mass & Dance Nativity Parish Hall, Penelope
CATS (Czech and Then Some). There will be a meal available for purchase consisting of baked chicken and ham with all the trimmings. Serving will begin approximately 11:30-Noon with Dance following.
ALTAR SERVERS: Today the West KCs will be sponsoring the Annual Altar Server Picnic at the West Pool at 1:00pm. Servers that are current servers and have served in the past year will get in free, and they and their families are welcome to have hamburgers and hot dogs, which will be served around 4:30 or 5:00pm.
