SPECIAL COLLECTION for Catholic Communication Campaign will be taken up this weekend. Fifty percent of the funds will remain in our diocese to fund local communication efforts. Your support helps connect people around the world through the internet, television, radio, and print media.

HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY and many thanks to all those who donated towards the beautiful flowers which decorate our sanctuary for Mother’s Day.  Please see the flyer for a complete listing of the living and deceased honorees.

CONGRATULATIONS to the CCD students who received the sacrament of Holy Communion for the first time this past Sunday! They include: Isabelle Haferkamp, Lane Hejl, Dinah Kaska, Allison Pustejovsky, Grayson Pustejovsky, Kullen Ramirez, and Ella Wolf.  To the First Communicants, may the Holy Spirit continue to work through you in growing and in sharing your Catholic faith, and may you continue to feel the “wholeness” that you feel today in receiving Jesus at every Mass.

THANK YOU to the men, women, and teens who volunteered their time and served our parish by helping with our CCD program.  Many thanks to each of them for sharing your faith with the children of our parish. RCIA will meet on Monday, May 14th at 6:30 p.m.

ADULT CHOIR will meet after Mass on Monday, May 14th.

KJZT JUNIORS will meet on May 20th following Sunday morning Mass. Juniors will meet in the Smid Center.

NEXT SUNDAY is our annual BBQ Dinner.  The meal consists of brisquet, sausage, parsley potatoes, cole slaw, pinto beans, dessert, and tea.  Parishioners whose last name begins with A– O are asked to please furnish a dessert for the meal.  Adult plates and Plates to go are $10.00 and children plates  under 12 are $6.00. Invite your family and friends to come out and enjoy a delicious meal and fellowship.

KJZT BAKE SALE will be held on Sunday, May 20th in conjunction with the BBQ Dinner.  Bake Sale proceeds will be used for future projects.  All KJZT members are asked to please donate items for the sale.  Thank you.

SPIRITUAL READING GROUP will begin reading a new book, “A Biblical Walk Through the Mass”  by Dr. Edward Sri. The first meeting will be on June 3rd at 7:00 p.m. in the Smid Center. Please read pages 1-14 and bring a bible. If you need help obtaining a book, please contact Terry Timmons. All are welcome to join in the discussion group.

GRIEF SUPPORT: A grief support group meeting will be held 7:00 p.m. Thursday evening, May 17th at St. Joseph’s Hall next to St. Mary’s Catholic Church.  This is a support group for those in the community who want to gain a better understanding of all the changes experienced in the grief process.

CATHOLIC RADIO: You’re invited to listen to the Good News 7 days a week.  RED-C  Catholic Radio is on the air in Central Texas at 98.3 FM with a variety of programs for your faith to grow.  Thanks for listening.

 IS IT I LORD?  IS GOD CALLING ME?  Join other Catholics who want to know, Friday through Sunday,

  June 8- 10, at the 2018 Vocation Awareness Weekend.  It’s a weekend event for single Catholic men and

women, ages 18 to 40, to learn about life as a Priest, Brother, Sister, or Consecrated Lay Woman.  This event

will be held at the University of Dallas, Irving, (a Catholic University).  There is no charge to participants.  For
