SPECIAL COLLECTION: This weekend’s collection for the Catholic Campaign for Human Development provides funding that helps individuals help themselves.  Please be generous.

ADVENT PENANCE SERVICE: There will be An Advent Penance Service on Mon., November 28th at 6:30 p.m.

THANKSGIVING MASS:  The Thanksgiving Day Mass schedule is as follows:
Immaculate Heart of Mary at 8:00 a. m.
Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary at 10:00 a.m.

NO CLASS: There will be no classes on Wednesday, November 23rd for CCD or Adult Formation.

PRAYERS NEEDED: Please keep Father Reinhard Sterneman, O.S.A. in your prayers as he recovers from surgery because of cancer in his leg.

THANK YOU!  THANK YOU! : From the Abbott KJZT #104 (Adult and Junior Division).  They were able to present Hillsboro Interfaith Ministries a donation of $1155.00 for their Food for Families Drive on Friday, November 18. Breakdown of this contribution:  $605.00 parishioner donations, $100.00 from Abbott KJZT Society #104, and $400.00 from the State KJZT Office.   May you all have a blessed Thanksgiving.  Your generosity and concern are greatly appreciated.  Please understand that Hillsboro Interfaith Ministries is open for anyone in this area in need of food throughout the year.  Hillsboro Interfaith Ministries is located in downtown Hillsboro (214 E Elm Street) on Tuesdays and Thursdays, 8 AM – 11 AM and on Fridays, 11 AM – 1:00 PM.  Their phone number to call during these hours is 254-580-2717 if more information is needed.  Again, THANK YOU for your support.

COLLECTION ENVELOPES: The 2017 collection envelopes are available to be picked up.  They can be found on the table at the back of church. If you do not find your name on a box of envelopes and wish to use them, please take a blank box and write your name on the envelope the first time you use them after the new year.  Also, if you need a statement showing the total of your yearly contributions that were made through your church envelopes, please contact Agnes Timmons after the first of the year.

CHRISTMAS SOCIAL: The Annual KJT & KJZT Christmas Social and Meetings will be held on, Sunday, December 11th.  Meetings will begin at 10:30 a.m., followed with a program presented by the KJZT Juniors, with lunch and a visit from Santa.  Families who are planning to attend the lunch are asked to bring a generous dish consisting of a vegetable, salad, or dessert. The entree will be provided. So that enough food can be prepared, please sign up on the back bulletin board by December 4th.

FYI: There is a Catholic Radio station out of Waco, 98.3 FM., which can benefit its listeners with spiritual growth and to better understand the gift we have been given in being part of the one, holy, Catholic, and apostolic Church.

RCIA: Class will take place on Sunday evening, November 20th from 7:00 – 8:30 p.m in the Parish Hall. The topics include: How Does the Church View Death?; The Particular Judgment; Heaven& Hell; Purgatory & Praying for the souls in Purgatory; Indulgences.  All people are invited to attend.  PLEASE NOTE: There will not be RCIA Class on Sunday, November 27th.

EUCHARISTIC ADORATION: Adoration will take place every Saturday beginning at 4:30 p.m. and ending with Benediction at 5:30. Confessions will be heard during this time as well. The rosary will begin at 5:35 followed by Mass at 6:00 p.m. While the Blessed Sacrament is exposed in a monstrance, adorers must be present. If you can be available for one of the Saturdays, please sign the sheet near the prayer intention book at the entrance of the Church.

VOCATIONS: All women (15 and older) discerning their vocation to the religious life are invited to the Marian Dinner and Mass on Wednesday, December 7th from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church in Keller. Please see the flyer on the bulletin for more information.

BELL RINGERS NEEDED: The Salvation Army is in need of volunteers for the Bell Ringer Campaign which runs from November 25th – December 24th at the Hillsboro Wal-Mart. All donations will stay in Hill County.  If interested in helping, please contact Brenda Rowe at 254-694-8645.

CHRISTMAS FLOWERS: This is the last weekend to order poinsettias. Envelopes are located at the entrances of the church and can be used to write your intentions and enclosing the payment for the number of plants that you intend to purchase. The cost of each plant is $10.25 and can be paid for with either cash or by check. Please make the check payable to Wolfe Wholesale Florist. Your completed envelope can be placed in the collection basket. Orders are being taken for plants that will be for church use only.
