CCD:  The first class for CCD will be on Wed., Sept. 14th. Class will be from 6:30 – 7:30 p.m. Parents are reminded to not bring students before 6:20 p.m. as there will not be anyone available to watch them.

SENIOR SOCIAL: The next Senior Social will be held on Thursday, September 22ndat 6:00 p.m. in the parish hall. Chicken and drinks will be provided. Please bring a side dish to share.  All seniors (those who have reached the age of 60) are invited to come join us.

MISSION APPEAL: On the weekend of September 24th and 25th, our parish will have a mission appeal conducted by Cecilia Espinoza, of the Maryknoll Lay Missioners. We will need to provide lodging for her. If anyone can host Ms. Espinoza in your home Saturday evening, please contact Father Joe.

RCIA: Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults Class (RCIA) will begin next Sunday, September 18th, in the parish hall, from 7:00 – 8:30 p.m.  We will begin this session with introductions and journeys of faith, the importance of prayer, and the RCIA process. If you or someone you know is interested in attending with the purpose of joining the Catholic Church, please contact Father Joe during office hours. The schedule is located on the back table. All people are invited to learn more about the Catholic faith. Please join us.

ADULT FORMATION: Come join us this Wednesday, September 14th as we begin our adult faith formation series, “Symbolon”. This week’s session is titled, “The Journey of Faith”.  This session covers Holy Trinity, why God made us, faith as our response to God, and tips for prayer. Our session starts at 6:30 and will end promptly at 7:30. The schedule is located on the back table. There is no cost to attend, We would love to see you there.

PENELOPE BAZAAR: The Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary will hold its Annual Bazaar on Sunday, September 18th.  BBQ beef tips, sausage and all the trimmings will be served from 11:30 – 5:30. Adults and Plates to Go are $9.50 and children under 12 are $6.00.  An Auction starts at 1:00. Other events include Bingo, Surprise Package, Horseshoe Tournament, Country Store, Raffle, and more.

VOCATIONS: The Sisters of the Holy Family of Nazareth will be hosting a Discernment Weekend for women 18+ and a Come & See day for young women 14-18 the weekend of September 23-25. Please see the flyer on the back bulletin board.

MINISTER SCHEDULES: This is the last weekend to make changes to your contact information for the new minister schedules coming out in October. If you haven’t already done so, please complete the form on the back table and place in the collection basket.

MASS INTENTIONS: We currently have a back log of Mass intentions that need to be said. Any new Mass intentions, with the exception of a newly deceased individual, will be sent to the Chancery Office at the Diocese.  An announcement will be placed in the bulletin when we will be able to take new intentions.

CHOIR PRACTICE: There will be Choir practice after Mass on Monday, September 12th. Anyone is welcome to attend. We are always looking for new singers.
