ANNUAL DIOCESAN APPEAL: By making a gift to the Annual Diocesan Appeal this weekend, we all share in the work of our diocese and the mission of the Church. KC MEETING: The Knights of Columbus will have their quarterly meeting this Monday, September 19th in the Smid Center immediately after the 6:00 p.m. Mass.
RCIA: Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults Class (RCIA) will begin Sunday evening, September 18th, in the parish hall, from 7:00 – 8:30 p.m. We will begin this session with introductions and journeys of faith, the importance of prayer, and the RCIA process. If you or someone you know is interested in attending with the purpose of joining the Catholic Church, please contact Father Joe during office hours. The schedule is located on the back table. All people are invited to learn more about the Catholic faith.
ADULT FORMATION: Come join the Adult Formation class on Wednesday, September 21th from 6:30 – 7:30 p.m. in the Parish Hall. Topics covered include: How Does God Reveal Himself?, Jesus is the Fullness of God’s Revelation, The Transmission of Divine Revelation, Sacred Scripture & Sacred Tradition, and Apostolic Succession and the Teaching Authority of the Church. LECTOR & EXTRAORDINARY MINISTER TRAINING: Father Joe will be conducting a training session for all current Lectors and Extraordinary Ministers of the Eucharist, as well as anyone who wishes to become a lector or minister, on Saturday, October 1st from 7:00 – 7:45 p.m.
MINISTER SCHEDULES: New minister schedules for Altar Servers, Lectors, Eucharistic Ministers, and Ushers are ready to be picked up. With the upcoming training and the possibility of adding new individuals, the schedule is for the month of October only. New schedules will be available in the future. PENELOPE BAZAAR: The Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary will hold its Annual Bazaar on Sunday, September 18th. BBQ beef tips, sausage and all the trimmings will be served from 11:30 – 5:30. Adults and Plates to Go are $9.50 and children under 12 are $6.00. An Auction starts at 1:00. Other events include Bingo, Surprise Package, Horseshoe Tournament, Country Store, Raffle, and more.
SENIOR SOCIAL: The next Senior Social will be held on Thursday, September 22ndat 6:00 p.m. in the parish hall. Chicken and drinks will be provided. Please bring a side dish to share. All seniors (those who have reached the age of 60) are invited to come join us.
