WELCOME: We welcome Father Michael Holmberg to our parish. Father Michael will be celebrating weekend Mass, Saturday and Sunday only, at Immaculate Heart of Mary and at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Penelope. Father Ouseph will remain as our Parochial Administrator until our new resident priest arrives in either December or January. Father Ouseph will continue to celebrate daily Mass on Monday and Wednesday evenings at 6:00 p.m.

ANNUAL  DIOCESAN APPEAL: Thank you to everyone who has responded generously to the Annual Diocesan Appeal. Your gift is making a difference to the people whom we will accompany in our shared journey of faith, hope and charity as one Church united in Christ.

KJT / KJZT MEETINGS: The KJT and KJZT will meet immediately after mass on Sunday, September 27, 2015.  Several important items will be discussed.  Please plan to attend.

KJZT JUNIORS: The next meeting of the KJZT Juniors will be Sunday morning, September 27 in the Smid Center at 9:15.  Juniors need to wear a camp t-shirt (any color) and jeans.

CHOIR PRACTICE: There will be Choir practice after Mass on Wednesday, September 30th.

ADULT FORMATION:  Come join us on Wednesday evenings during CCD as the parish will watch the video series entitled “Catholicism” featuring Bishop Robert Barron.  It’s the Catholic Faith as you’ve never seen it before.  For the first time, in breathtaking and high-definition cinematography, the truth, goodness, and beauty of Catholicism are illustrated in a multimedia experience. INTENTIONS NEEDED: We are in need of Cemetery Light intentions. Anyone wishing to send in requests may do so by enclosing the intention and donation in a specially marked envelope and placing it in the collection basket.

LIBRARY: The library located in the parish hall is now open to all parishioners. Books and videos are available for all ages. The library is open on Wednesday’s after evening Mass and closes at 7:30 p.m.

TOURS PICNIC: St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church will hold its annual parish picnic on Sunday, September 27th.  There will be fried chicken, country sausage, home-made cornbread dressing, and trimmings.  Meal is served starting at 11:00 AM.  Take out plates will be available at the rear of Tours Hall.  A live auction will start under the big tent at 12:30 PM.  There are always several great items up for bid.  There will also be activities for the whole family; bingo, kid’s games, horseshoes, etc. starting at noon.  Tours Loves Company.  Come join us for a fun day in the country.
